Software that has to be right
We build systems for businesses with an obligation to meet: a regulation, an audit, a record that must still be readable in seven years. The work is unglamorous and the standard is exact.
Products
Polmai
Political advertising transparency for publishers. Regulation (EU) 2024/900 requires a label on every political advertisement and a transparency notice that stays reachable for seven years after the advertisement last ran (Art 12(4)). Polmai generates both, keeps the record, and answers the requests that authorities and researchers are entitled to make.
Built first for print, for a Finnish newspaper.
Pysy in development
A second product, not yet running. There will be something to read here when there is something to use.
Consulting
Four areas, described plainly on the consulting page: data engineering, business applications, Perl, and the short exploratory projects that answer a question before anybody commits a budget to it.
How we work
- The obligation comes first. Where a requirement rests on a regulation, we cite the article, so you can check it rather than trust us.
- Boring technology, deliberately. PostgreSQL, Perl, plain HTML. A system that must run for seven years is not the place to find out whether a framework survives.
- Your data stays in the EU. Hosted in Europe, on European infrastructure, outside the reach of the US CLOUD Act.
- You can leave. Your records export in a machine-readable format on request, during the contract and after it.
Nothing on this site is legal advice. Where a claim rests on Regulation (EU) 2024/900, the article is cited so you can read it yourself.
